CLOSED CELL SILICONE

Silicone Elastomers provide the maximum in reliability, whether exposed to adverse environmental conditions, stored for indefinite periods, or used under normal conditions. Silicone resists temperature extremes, ozone, corona, radiation, compression set, moisture, weathering, and a wide range of chemicals. Colors other than red are available special order.

Viton Sponge

Viton sponge is a closed cell, soft density foam that is manufactured with a continuous skin on both sides. The skin makes the sheet stronger and more tear resistant and even when the surface skin is punctured or cut, the material will not allow the passage of air or fluid between cells. The non- absorbent sheets are highly compressible, resilient, lightweight and provide good thermal insulation. Like dense Viton, this material is generally resistant to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, oil, fuels, ozone and weather, lubricants, and animal or vegetable oils. It is also resistant to acids and hot water. Optional pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) is available.

Polyurethane Foam (Polyester)

This material is a low cost, lightweight, open cell polyurethane foam generally used as weather stripping, sealants, and gaskets for noise deadening and insulation. Generally available in 2, 4, and 6 lb. densities with and without a pressure sensitive adhesive.
